I want my ex back(as a friend). Should I talk to him, email him, or write him a note? What would you do?

How do you know he still has the same number? I'd send him another message and ask him politely to at least respond with anything at all, just so you know that he's still got the same number. Let him know that if he chooses to not talk to you anymore, you will respect that because you know you've crossed the line in the past and you don't want to go there again. Be sincere. If he doesn't respond, try calling him (Give him at least 3 days). Offer him the same options. Allow him to make the choice not to speak to you, and respect it.
