How can I sing better without lessons?

How can I improve my singing voice without taking lessons? I really want to learn how to sing better.

  I am a vocalist in a metalcore band (screaming if you don't know what that genre is). However i can do clean vocals as well, so i can still answer your question. It's simple... LOTS and LOTS of practice... it took me almost 3 years (in my practice time; everyone is different) to be a professional vocalist. What you can also do is practices your highs and lows. Try signing from high pitch (don't stress to much, and try to be clear and pronounce your words as best as you can), same goes with low pitch. There is more i can recommend. If you think your voice is too cracky or dry. Drink room temperature water, or try drinking SOME honey or maple syrup. Hope this helps.
