How to hook up a dvd player to record cable?

How do I hook up a cable box, vcr/dvd combo, and a Bose 321 GSX III to an older t.v. that only has the traditional rf coaxial spot? I want to be able to record tv shows through the vcr and also be able to watch dvds through the Bose dvd player.

  • Answer:

Okay, I hope you know the "in"s and "out"s of your different boxes... LITERALLY! Cable goes IN the Cable Box. Cable Box OUT connects to the Vcr/Dvd Combo IN. Vcr/Dvd Combo OUT connects to the Television IN. *** Bose DVD can be connected to a second IN on the Vcr/Dvd Combo and you tune to the Combo's channel three to use it! This way, you can record from a Dvd in the Bose onto a blank Dvd in the Combo machine, if it's not copyright protected!
