What is a day in the life of a Control & Systems Engineer like? Do Control Engineers find their jobs satisfying?

    hmm... there seems to be a considerable gap left to be desired between the two disciplines. The Systems Engineer implements the design, but doesn't really have any basis to choose the best physical components and arrangements to get the system to behave in an optimal or desired manner. So if he chooses a bad set of components, then even the best arrangement of these components given by the Control Systems Engineer won't get the design anywhere. .. On the other hand, the Control Systems Engineer knows how to model the physical components and use mathematics to cause the system to behave optimally in the desired manner, but isn't very good at creating physical designs and implementing them. So in other words he's stuck with modeling the components created by other engineers. Isn't that a bit of a concern? .. Maybe I'm over worrying, you did mention earlier that understanding of the physical world comes with effort.
