Why, have you had an operation? On a more serious note I think it is a teething problem with the new version of Answerbag, and there are more important issues to be resolved - like notification about comments received. I'm sure it will be sorted out eventually, but in the meantime you could mention in the 'About me' section of your profile that you are female.

Your profile is not the issue, it is your gender

in your profile you should be able to do it under the "edit profile" section however i believe it is still not working so just put your gender in the "about me" in the "edit profile" section instead. That was my solution
