Run a RCA cable (Red & White) wire from the back of the cable box to the RCA Audio-In jacks in back or your home theater receiver. Tune your receiver to audio input.. E

On the back of your cable box there should be audio out that you would run to your master controller. then just tune into tv on your master controller and it would come through your system.

I don't know the details of your TV and cable box but if they have an optical connection (It is usually marked OPTICAL and ,if turned on, will glow red) then that is the best way to go. Simply connect one end to your TV and the other to the cable box. The optical cable is a simple no nonsense connector which needn't be costly. Don't bother with the high cost cables which are often sold. If the units both have it, an audio COAX connector may be the way to go. It is usually a single RCA (Phono) connector.
