What multinational companies owned your life?
-
After I analyze my life, most of the products that I use, eat, watch, listen, read, comes from a handful of very large corporations. In other words, who I am and what I am is directly influenced by these companies for the better or worse. These Biggest Six influenced my everday personal, emotional, mental, physical, political and cultural life. Unilever (Rexona deodorant, Clear shampoo, Lux soap, Pepsodent toothbrush & toothpaste, Blueband margarine) GE (NBC Universal, SNL, Conan, Leno, many Universal movies) Sony (Arista Records, Columbia Records, Epic Records, J Records, Jive Records, RCA Victor Records, RCA Records, Legacy Recordings (Janis Joplin, Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Patti Smith, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, etc) Sonic Wave America, Playstation 2, PSP, BMG, Ericson, Columbia Tristar Motion Picture Group, television set) Toyota (Innova, Vios, transportation) Microsoft (operating system) Google (mail, search, video, images, perhaps I wouldn't find answerbag and many interesting sites without its help) The Bigger Eight: Samsung (TV, computer, washing machine) Mitsubishi (refrigerator) Panasonic (AC) Sharp (AC) Toshiba (laptops) Huawei (handphone) Acer (laptop) Groupe Danone (mineral water) The Rest: Nestle (Koko Crunch, baby food, coffee) Kellogs (Corn Flakes) Kraft (cheese products) Johnson Family Enterprises (Baygon, household cleaning supplies) Pigeon (baby products) Sara Lee Corporation (Ambi-Pur, Kiwi, Zwitsal) PZ Cussons (Imperial Leather)

Answer:
I am not sure about that one, because many products don't give the name of the corporation that owns it. Also, the ownership relations are sometimes quite complicated in those corporations. I only give some of the most apparent for me among a bigger list: - Microsoft - Google (with various products such as YouTube) - Wikipedia (Wikimedia Foundation, not on the list, not really a corporation) - Demand Media (not on the list, but Answerbag's owner...) - Allianz - BASF - BNP Paribas - Danone - Deutsche Telekom - Gillette - Intel Corporation - Nestlé - Procter & Gamble - Renault - Samsung - Siemens - Sony - Sony Music Entertainment - Sony Pictures Entertainment - The Walt Disney Company - Total S.A. - Unilever - Virgin Group - Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
