How much do international movers charge?

How much do movers charge per hour?

  • Answer:

Movers base hourly charges on the size of a house or apartment. Hourly charges usually are about $25 per mover. A 5,000-square-foot house with six movers working between eight and 12 hours will cost from $1,200 to $1,800, according to Costhelper.com, as of April 2010.Source:http://www.costhelper.com/cost/home-garden/local-mover.html

Ok, here is the thing. The moving rates usually start at $60-75/hr for 2 movers and a truck, and another $25-40 for each additional mover. But besides the hourly rates, some companies will charge for a gas, mileage and travel. There is this website http://www.moverscorp.com/ where you enter your zip code and instantly view the prices from local movers.

Moving rates can vary depending on who the movers are. Some moving companies charge inflated rates and some don't. There are a few cheap services that do great work, and others that do shoddy work. One site that I know of will give you an instant rate right there online without putting in any information other than your zip code and moving date. The site is http://www.hardbodyhaulers.com/ and you can get a general idea there. I hope this helps.
