What is the file extension .PPM?

-
Answer:
The extension .PPM stands for "portable pixelmap," a simple and uncompressible picture file type in which 24-bit color images are expressed as text. It is not recommended for larger file images. The .PPM extension has also been used as a plugin file for Total Commander, an older file managing software, and a data file in Insight II, a graphic molecular modeling program.Source:http://www.file-extensions.org/ppm-file-extension
