How can I efficiently block a website (and just the sites I choose), without paying for software.
-
Are there any programs (I use firefox) that allow me to block access to only the websites I choose it to block, but is also password protected so I can type in a gibberish password that even I can't remember. I don't want a generic site block, I've used those and it blocks stuff I know doesn't have the material I want to block. Specific sites are the problem. Serious answers please. Reasons are personal.

Winders has a "hosts" file like linux. You can add urls to it like so: 127.0.0.1 http://www.badsite.com 127.0.0.1 rottensite.com No more badsite or rottensite on any browser. Where the hosts file is depends on the version of windows you have.
