  Log on to your Gmail account. Click the "Contacts" link, which is on the left-hand side of the screen, under your custom email categories and above the links for "Tasks" and "Chat." Click the icon of a plus sign with a person next to it--it says "New Contact" when you hover the cursor over it, and is in the upper right-hand corner of the Contacts menu. From there, you can enter all of the information for your new contact. Enter additional information by clicking "More Information" or clicking the "Add" link next to the appropriate field.
