What are dislocated workers funds?

A lot of co-workers lost everything in the floods last weekend. We are thinking of ways to help those who did. How should we raise funds?

• I live in Nashville and everyone knows there was massive flooding over the weekend. I was lucky I lost nothing. But a lot of my co-workers lost everything they had. At work we are trying to find a way to help the employees who lost it all. Does anyone have any quick, easy fundraiser ideas that we can do at work so we can help our co-workers and friends?

  I've never delt with FEMA but if they have improved since katrina maybe apply with them. I would have joined up with habitat for humanity to help them rebuild there home but for some reason the babtists only want me to help with homes of hope for vida. I never got a phone call or one returned or a letter from habitat for humanity and I have construction skills I hate construction unless it's my own project but for these folks I would do it. Do they have towns that are not flooded they can hold up in with a gymnaism at a public school till the water goes down all the way?.
