List most harmful cigarette brands?

Out of these cigarette brands, what are the least harmful to your body? Camel, Marlboro, Pall Mall, Winston, and Newport.

  • Before anyone says it, I'll simply state that I'm aware that all cigarettes are bad for you and that there's no such thing as a healthy cigarette. My mother just happens to believe that both Marlboro and Camel are awful for you and that her Winstons are "better." I want to know if the brands make any difference whatsoever. I'm tired of hearing her say it without any actual logic to her statement. Those of you who answer with "Don't smoke, they're all bad for you, idiot." will obviously be ignored. I'm just asking a question. I'm not asking your opinion on the subject.

I am an ex smoker and I would say the Winstons and the Pall Mall filters are probably "better" than the other choices. I smoked Marlboro Reds for years and I think they have to be the worst, the real cowboy killers. I started smoking Camel filters after a late night up drinking and I was out of Marlbs so I bummed one. It tasted real good for some reason and I switched. I also smoked Camel Reds for awhile when they came out, Winstons, Pall Malls, Camel Wides, Marlb Mediums and then I switched to Camel lights for a few years. I never smoked Newports other than when I would bum one now and then because I never liked menthols. When the price of smokes went through the roof I started smoking Pall Malls full time because they were a lot cheaper. Out of all the brands I did smoke the Winstons and the Pall Malls were always less harsh. I could smoke a regular Winston or Pall Mall and interchange without noticing anything different other than flavor. If I smoked a regular Camel I knew it had more nicotine and would burn out my throat a lot faster. If I dared to smoke a Marlboro Red it would usually knock me down for a spell after one smoke if I could finish it and after one my throat was sore. Just my opinion. It has been a year and 2 days today since my last smoke and I will be damned if I start again.

I am an ex-smoker, not a guru. Back in my smoking days, both Pall Mall and Camel had no filter; and Winston and Newport had filter. It has been so long that I forget what brand had "activated charcoal" in its filter. The cigarettes' filter does not filter anything. It simply allowed to "homogenize" the smoke produced by the tobacco and that of the paper to "improve flavor". Try using this analogy with her: "It is like being aware that all bullets are deadly and saying that one of the bullets makes less noise than the other. Ask her: If someone shot you with a .357, or a .38, or a .45 or a 9mm caliber, what will kill you? The noise the bullet made, or the speed at which it comes when it hits you?" Let her soak with the idea.

I would definately say Winston,because there are no additives in Winston cigarettes.However when you burn tobacco,thousands of chemicals are still produced
