Where is the pain exactly when you have kidney stones?

When you talked about your kidney stones going into your renal pelvis, does it cause pain off and on for months?

  • I was asking this of MidwestPurgatory. Also, can the doctor tell if it's a kidney stone from a urinalysis?

  • Answer:

I think dr takes pictures of the kidney stone and when the radiololigist looks at the ultra sound pics he can tell where it is at and can get that information to the dr so he knows what he needs to do next and they are very painful when trying to pass them sometimes if they can't dissolve then they have to take them out.
