What does Thanksgiving really mean to you personally? Surely it's more than just eating turkey with the family.

It's a time for family to get together and celebrate our love for one another, and all the good that we've experienced in the previous year. It's a breather - before the mad rush to Christmas begins. It means soft glowing candles, crackling fire, lovely music, abundance of food, good stories, football, board games, wine, laughter, hugs.

It's a big family meal. Breaking bread together and hanging out. The original Thanksgiving story is a fable. There are many traditional feast days in human society. This is just one leftover that's needed. We have very few real holidays.

Sharing a big meal with family, sitting around the fire pit singing in the dark. What about you?

personally, it is an opportunity to be together with the family. we are all so busy, nowadays, that we really don't have time to get together.

Just kidding...it is a special time for families to come together. I try to instill the importance of the holiday in my daughter. I am very lucky and fortunate and so is she and I give thanks everyday honestly...I can't believe my luck.

We don't have it here quad. But enjoy your holiday and food.

Thanksgiving is comfort/family/ special food I don't ususally have/low stress/great time of year...season.
