Why are my speaker and headphone not working simultaneously?

I have Windows 7. My Headphone is working properly but my PC speaker are not working. What should i do. Thanks

Answer:

There are several different places in Windows where the speakers can be adjusted for volume or turned on and off. Use the Control Panel in the Start Menu to see if they are turned off.
