Question regarding the new Kindle 3G and web browsing?

I am considering purchasing the new Kindle 3G for $150. Specifically, because the Fire does not have text to speech. Also like the free 3G feature (not really free since I'm paying premium but free enough). Web browsing and 3G is a great feature for the kindle. Web browsing is obviously limited in the new kindle, but what type of browsing can I do? Also, I am going on a cruise to Bahamas in November, will I be able to use it on the ship given the international 3G capabilities?
Answer:

Outside of US 3G works for downloading books only. Within US you can browse any website on your Kindle device.

There is no web browsing capability over 3G on Kindle Touch even in U.S. It is only available over Wi-Fi network unlike the kindle keyboard (kindle 3). Maybe this is because 3G service is free with kindle devices and on the touchscreen device there are more changes for higher data usaage.
