    Open the Windows XP Display Properties Dialog BoxClick "Start," select "Settings," click "Control Panel." Double-click the "Display" icon. (When using Classic Start Menu) Click "Start," then "Control Panel." Click "Appearance and themes," then click "Display." (When using the Default Start Menu)Change Your Menu Appearance Font SettingsGo to the "Appearance" tab. Click the "Advanced" button. Click the arrow adjacent to the Items field box and select "Menu" from the drop-down menu. In the Font section, click in the "Size" field box, then type the font size you would like your menus to display (bear in mind that this will change the font size of all your Windows XP menus, not just the Start Menu).
