Do not allow iTunes to synchronize your iPod; doing so will erase any music on your iPod that is not in your iTunes library. If given the option to "Tranfer purchases," go ahead; this will send files purchased through iTunes back to your library. Click on your iPod on the left-hand menu in iTunes. On the "Summary" tab, make sure "Enable Disk Use" is checked off. Windows Explorer will now recognize your iPod as a hard drive.Show Hidden FoldersOpen the Control Panel on your PC. Select "Appearance and Personalization." Under the Folder Options heading, select "Show hidden files and folders." Make sure "Show hidden files and folders" is checked off in the pop-up menu.Copy and PasteUse Windows Explorer to open the iPod drive. Open the "iPod_Control" folder. Open the "Music" folder, which also contains your videos. The files will not have recognizable names; that's OK. Copy and paste these files into a new folder on your desktop.
