How To Split DVD?

Afternoon All, Can you but a DVD player with a surround sound card that will split the sound into the respective components individually?

• so like if the film is 5.1 surround and the dvd will recognise it and send out the signals manually so i can wire them into the speakers that i aleready have. I have been given the speakers and sub woofer, my current dvd is 5.1 compatible but i can only take the sound out digitaly or through composite or hdmi. i need the split out. Or are the speakers and subswoofer etc.... a lost cause? do the sytems all have that fully intergtrated these days and thats why i have been given these speakers for free...?

  the dvd player "avia " does what you are asking . and it will play anything (cd, dvd . ) surround , 5 channal etc.. in the best format & sound it sees fit . . it can also be done manually . ;-)
