Can I record audio from quicktime?

using quicktime to record an animated fishtank screen saver:

  • I have no problems recording things on my desktop, such as making little tutorials and such for friends of mine. Today, I decided I wanted to record my screensaver, which is a beautiful animated fishtank, that looks very real. I set quicktime to record, figuring that once the computer went to sleep, the screensaver would come on and get recorded. I wonder if quicktime prevented it from going to sleep. Has anyone recorded an animated screensaver using quicktime to record the screen? How? THNX

getgin, I appreciate your answer, but that simply won't work. The quality will not be good, I already tried with my HD Camera Vid. I would like to record using Quicktime, and wonder if there are certain settings that I need to put in place so that the screensaver animates, because for some reason, it will not when Quicktime is recording the screen. I want to record using software on my computer for the best quality.
