How do I copy DVDs to my computer?

How do I copy my collection of DVDs to my XP Home computer's hard drive? Some of my DVDs are NTSC format.

  • Answer:

Why would you want to eat up all that hard drive space? An average DVD holds 4.7G of data, just play them off the DVD, and save your hard drive space.

I had more than 1500 movies so I transfered most of my VHS tapes to DVDs some years ago to save space. Now I live in a 30 foot trailer whe very little useable storage. I have over a terabyte of external storage and it uses less space than 6 large cut down boxes.
