Do you mean a pouch to put the external device in at night? I can only find Germany, but maybe this would be worth it. I wouldn't think it would be TONS of money to ship from there and may be worth it.............. http://www.euheart.eu/index.php?id=78

It's somekind of towel, you can wrap around the 'excore' so you suffer less from the heat and noise. I've been told it exists in England, but whatever site I consult, doesn't mention something of that nature. If you could help me out, I would be very grateful. Thanks a lot, Caroline

Caroline, I worked for OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois for some time and now am an "external" (work from home) employee for Proctor Hospital and I sent an e-mail to both just today to see what I can possibly find out for you. I will be in contact once I hear something. Hope I can help you.

Here is the response I received today in regard to what you are looking for. I e-mailed a lady I knew at a trauma center here in Illinois. Dear Susan, I received your email and forwarded it to Suzanne Faulkner, our transplant coordinator. She is checking out some options to see if she can help you, and will be in touch. (I’ve copied her on this email) Thank you for writing- Judy

The other lady got back with me today with this response................. Susan Talked with a VAD coordinator at Arkansas Childrens – they are in the Berlin Heart Study. This pump is still at study status although it goes to the FDA this month, therefore, the company has put no money into supportive equipment such as a pouch, etc. What they do with their children is wrap a mesh type bandage around the pump to stabilize it against their abdomen – we also thought if noise is a problem some kind of towel or drsg between the pump and the abdomen and then the mesh over the pump wrapped around the child might be helpful. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. Thank you. Suzanne
