Why do I always feel so tired and sleepy?

I always feel tired not tired as I want to sleep my body feels tired and I'm always not in a mood for anything why?

    Sounds like you may have a touch of depression. Does it feel physical or mental, or some of each? It's oh so common these days with all of the stresses that life throws our way. I have it sometimes as well. Sometimes it seems easier to stay home, lay around, and not deal with people. Also, if your blood pressure is low that can probably cause some of it as well. Mine always runs low too. Sometimes it is a blood sugar issue, low vitamin levels in the body, and sometimes it's adrenaline or hormones being low. There are many reasons you could be feeling this way. It could be mental or medical, or both! Sometimes it takes a while to sort it out. I hope you can get it figured out for yourself. I wouldn't let a doctor tell you to try an anti-depressant either because those have side effects and are just not always good to get started on. I myself take SAM-e (a supplement you can buy at Wal-Mart or most pharmacies) and it's a mood support and has helped me IMMENSELY, but my stressors were personal so that may not be the answer for you. Take time to sort it out. You're worth it!

There could be so many explanations for this. It could be your lifestyle, do you work, have kids, do to much around the house? You could be lacking in iron. You may need to eat well with heaps of fruit. exercise etc. Is there anything going on in your life? Have you anything in the past that may have caused you angst? How do you feel about yourself and your life? Is it want you want it to be? Are you happy with your current situation in life, any issues? There are diagnosis for depression and you may need to look into it a bit further. Write down how you feel, what you feels, what makes you sad and what you want to do with your life.

Well, first of all I don't really eat much fruit, and I'm a 23 year girl and to be honest I've never been really happy with my life cuz I'm facing lot of issues with my family and I work 8 hours daily in a call centre and I'm studying too, so most of the time I just keep thinking of my mom cuz she's sick all the time and she needs company while I can't be there for her most of the time my sisters are all married and my dad is not a responsible person I don't talk to him at all, so I don't know what could be the reason but I hate how I feel when my mood is bad and my body is tired I really do, I used to do yoga before I work but not anymore I got no time

And I keep blaming myself not being there for my mom, if I hang out with friends I keep thinking of her and I say maybe I should have stayed home! I took my mom to a lot of doctors here but they know nothing of what she got, its dizziness she always feel dizzy, though she eats well everyday and she's a diabetic, the way she feels dizzy sometimes make her fall!

Thanks for sharing your situation. No wonder you are tired! You are stressed and probably run down. You do need to talk things out with someone, and you need to have a life of your own. It's about time some other members of your family helped. I would see a counsellor if you can to talk about your situation

It sounds like yo u are under a lot of stress right now. Taking an anti-depressant is NOT a bad thing. It usually doesn't have any serious side effects, and can make you gradually start to feel a little better without you even realizing it. You might speak to a counselor or therapist, which can also be very beneficial. If you can't afford it, most will charge based on your income. If you haven't seen your regular doctor lately, you might want to do that just to get so me basics like bloodwork, etc. out of the way. Stress and anxiety can do so much physical harm. Depression can cause one to either sleep all the time or not b e able to sleep at all. Before you start taking herbal remedies, you should definitely get checked out by a physician. Herbal does not always mean it is safe, effective, or that it will work for you.
