Do you think Facebook uses sites like Answerbag for ideas on how to make Facebook better?
-
I just clicked on the "Apply to be a beta tester" link Facebook offered me and I just find it weird. To apply, you have to prove you ask great questions and give great answers. I said this to another member as a hint to the staff as a blog post comment earlier this month: "Or maybe they should just let selected regular members (instead of just staff) try it out who say they don't mind trying out beta stuff before they unleash it onto everyone." What creeps me out is that today on Facebook, there sure enough is a link you can click on that says "Apply to be a beta tester". Previously, I said things on Q&A websites (including this one) about how Facebook should let you hide your friends from your friends. They now allow this feature. So, what do you think? I'm not saying I'm behind these changes. I just find it creepy how after I said things like that, Facebook seemed to have those options readily available as though they came up with those ideas themselves. Does Answerbag have more competition now? -- Called "Facebook" is trying to launch a Q&A section for Facebook so that we don't need sites like Answerbag, Y!A, and Fluther anymore? Would you dump Answerbag for Facebook's version of a Q&A site? Why or why not?

Answer:
No. Facebook just does what they want without regard for the users who use there site they along with so many social networking sites have no contact us feature where you can communicate with them. This could come back on them as legal issue if a judge asks did you talk to them about such and such and you say they won't let anybody.
