Why are some of the songs on my iPod skipping and garbled? The original is just fine when I play it from iTunes!

And it's very strange that certain songs are garbled...not the entire album. I'm not playing it through headphones nor a transmitter. I'm just playing it through it's own speakers. No hook-ups of any kind

Is the headphone connection loose? Are you using a radio transmitter to broadcast it to your car stereo?

The same songs? or does it pick different songs at random? If it is the same song over and over, something happened in the transfer and those songs became damaged, try deleting them and loading them again.
