Place your cursor at the end of the first line in the hosts file, which is "127.0.0.1 localhost" and then hit "Enter," this will allow you to enter a new line of text. Type in "127.0.0.1 http://www.websiteyouwishtoblock.com" without the quotes. Replace "www.websiteyouwishtoblock" with the actual address of the website that is to be blocked. Click on the "File" menu in Notepad and then click on "Save."
