What are easy ways of writing a good essay?

Can anyone please give me ideas on ways to improve this creative writing essay?

Weird little technology, that viewing method. The essay has some spelling and mechanical errors I'd fix but for the limitations of the technology. The (apparent) reason for the low score is the lack of connections between the described scenes. The writer is at the beach, in the shops, on the plane, back in England without connections between the events. He (she?) should re-write it to include some "hooks" that carry the reader from point to point because any of those shifts are when the reader can merely put it down and never mind. Your suggestion of a "twist" at the end isn't a bad one, but the "twists" should be between each scene to keep the reader on board.
