When do items purchased as gifts come off my Amazon Wishlist?
-
I had several items purchased off my WL for X-Mas. THe WL tells me they have been purchased. But they are still on my list. When do they move the "purchased" listing? I keep waiting and waiting . . .

Answer:
They don't. Why would they? If you don't want them on your list any longer, remove them.

Thanks for the reply MrItty but I don't believe you are correct. I have several items that were once on my list, purchased as gifts for me, that have transferred over to my purchase list. I'm just not sure when this happens. As for why would they, I personally like having a record of all the things I've received from Amazon. That is all.

Your two paragraphs are contradictory. You HAVE a record of everything someone's bought for your from Amazon - it is the "purchased" filter on your wishlist. You are saying you want this record to disappear.
MrItty
Close. I am saying I want the record to *only* appear on my purchased list and not my unpurchased list. The items I am referring to appear on both. Also, while on the purchased list I want them to no longer be covered in the hidden-Gift icon. (see attached pic) Both the items in the pic were gifts purchased from my wishlist. One no longer appears in my main unpurchased list just the purchased list while the other is still in the unpurchased list *and* in the purchased list albeit with the hidden-gift icon. Items that were gifts that I delete from the unpurchased list also disappear from the purchased list. So I can't just delete them from the unpurchased list. I guess in the end if it has been purchased I want it on that list and not in both places. It has been over a month since X-Mas so I just figured they would have transferred over by now. I can't believe I've spent so much time thinking about this. It just bugs me for some reason. :) Thanks

Found my answer: "We've designed the Wish List so we don't spoil your surprises. This setting is "on" by default, but you can change that setting if you'd like. If someone has purchased an item off your Wish List, the item will remain in your "Unpurchased" view for a minimum of 8 weeks. We'll also warn you of a potential duplicate purchase when you . . ." So a minimum of 8 weeks is the answer I was looking for.
