It also gives you fresh breath. Here is a trick for the cheap - use one strip for the top AND bottom. Just look in the mirror, smile with teeth touching and stick one on. Cons: -Initially some tooth/gum related pain. -Some of the packages can be annoying to open. I decided to try the Listerine Whitening strips, since they looked like a tempting new product, plus they were more competitively priced. I'm not sure what the hydrogen peroxide contents of these are, but initially I did have some of the associated tooth/gum pain. It felt like pain associated with a cavity, but worse. So I stopped treatment, and did the treatment a little slower. The pain only happened once, and I've since upped the treatment back two twice a day without problems.
