How long to wait after interview to call and check up?

Should I call DSS, or should I wait on them to call me like they said they would? I have already been in for the interview!

• I was the the lady that posted about having that interview at Dss the other day. I had my interview on Thursday, friday they didn't call, and of course they were closed on Monday for Memorial Day. So, my question is do you think that I should call them? At the interview they said that they would call me if not that friday then it would be at the beginning of the next week. Should I just wait on them to call me or should I call and ask to show that I am interested? Normally I would had already called them back to check on it but I figured becuase this was a higher end type of job that they would want me to wait so that they could notify me themselves.

  The question I have here is did you send them a letter the day of or at the latest the day after, thanking them for their time and consideration? Doing so not only shows good manners (which the company may not have but they have something you want, a job) and it also reminds them of you. If after a week or so you haven't heard back from them, call and let them know that you are still interested in the position and ask if there is anything else you can provide them.
