I own ICICI Bank Credit Card, wanna buy Laptop from Amazon & get it delivered in US Shipping Add. &Billing Address India

My friend is in US & she can bring Laptop 4 me when she returns back in India in few days. I wanna buy Laptop from Amazon using my ICICI Credit Card & want the delivery on her US address (Shipping Address). Is it possible? Can i give both Shipping & Billing Address of that friend in US? Or only Shipping Address of hers in US & the Billing Address should mandatorily be mine of India? Also reply to my to my earlier detailed quries. Thanks

Well, the package is going to a US address, so there shouldn't be a problem even with an Indian credit card. When you order the laptop, you will be told at checkout if Amazon has a problem with the card or the address before you are charged for anything. You may run into a problem if you list the billing address to a different address than where the card was registered to. The order could be disqualified for that reason. As for Amazon Prime, you can cancel within 30 days and not be charged. However, you will not be offered another free period if you apply for Amazon Prime at a future time. Keep in mind that Amazon Prime is for people who do a lot of ordering. And a lot of stuff qualifies for Super Saver Shipping, so you wouldn't be charged for shipping anyway.

But only 1 concern is that last week my friend in US bought Sony H55 Digital Camera from Amazon & NO TAXES were charged extra for the same Shipping & Billing Address with ZIP 27560. She used her Prepaid FOREX Card for the payment. Now if I use my ICICI Credit Card for paying US$ for Laptop & mention the Billing Address of India as its registered with the Bank, will I be charged extra by Amazon for any kind of Taxes? Does the Taxes depend on Shipping Address or the Billing Address? My friend told me that if we give both Shipping & Billing Address with ZIP 27560 where she stays, Taxes are not separately charged above the specified price on Amazon. Please help me understand this.

Well, Amazon is completely automated, so you can try it any way you want and see if the order goes through.

I was just reading up on that today. And if you forget to unsubscribe, yes they will automatically take out the $79 from whatever credit card you have on file.
