In my opinion drums are a great first instrument because they are easier to get the hang of than more complicated instruments that rquire a lot of time and practice. If you want to get really good on drums it will take a while but just too get the hang of them is easy. I just bought my son the ddrum D1 JR Complete 5pc drum set for Christmas.
