Will the New Kindle work in South Africa if my Mom use my Amazon Acc? I live in the USA she in SA.

Hi Proppies, Since you are in the US, why don't you call Amazon Customer Service, and ask them? They should be able to answer you about the specific area where your mom lives. 1-800-201-7575. Hi Proppies. I run http://www.kindsouthafrica.com and as far as I know you can have multiple kindles share books as long as it is on one account. So in short I think you're ok. You may have to check the country settings as some books which are available in the US may not be downloadable in SOuth Africa. The Kindle does work 100% in South Africa. You mom would either need a USB cable to charge it from her PC or a Europen apdapter. Good luck.
