If a can of plastic primer begins to change shape during summer heat does that mean it's not safe to use?

Answer:
Don't know what a plastic primer is, but even a can of latex paint 20 years old can be used, if it is not totally solid in the can. If you have an old can of latex paint that is so old it is sort of a soft sludge, just add a cup of warm water and mix it back up. It should turn back into paint and actually be a pretty good match to the old paint. So based on that, I would try to use the plastic primer before throwing it away. If it is not water based, you will have to use the right solvent.
