My horn will not work on my Honda Civic 2007?

2007 Chevy Impala, which the horn does not work.replacing the fuse does not work; the horn keeps blowing by itself .What can be the problem?

  • horn does not work on 2007 chevy impala;changing fuse does not work. What is the problem?

  • Answer:

Sounds to me like a wire has either come loose or had the insulation worn away. This will cause the fuse to blow, and the horn to go into auto-honk mode. As the vehicle is not very old, I'm willing to bet that it's a common fault with that model. I doubt that any Chevy dealer would admit it, though- but I'm willing to bet that any decent auto-electrician will know exactly where the fault lies.

Just letting you know I have a 2007 Chevy Impala also. The horn DOES NOT WORK. I changed the fuse 2 times and had my mechanic re-wire it so it does not rub up against anything (like the framework). It always works a few times after putting in a new fuse and then stops working altogether. The problem IS electrical, not the fuse.
