I changed the alternator on my 91 chevy s-10 blazer but not sure where to hook up wire from battery to alt.

If I recall correctly, there are 2 wires that go to a plug and one that goes to the Field terminal. But I don't think the field wire goes to the battery. It has to be controllable so it will provide power on demand without cooking the battery. Better check the manual on this one.

There should be a stud with a nut on the back of your alternator to hook the battery wire to, but!! before you attach this wire to the Alternator, remove the red or positive battery cable from the battery.
