How much weight could I lose in a month??

If I'm 296lbs how much weight can I lose in a month if I only eat 800 calories?

  • I have three months and I'm going on a cruise and want to lose a lot of weight. I will be taking a vitamin and will eat more if I feel sick. This is just to let me know how much I would lose if I ate 5 small meals totaling 800 calories, and drank only water. Please, I know that this is unhealthy and I'm supposed to be eating 1200 calories but I don't have time. Please just let me know aprox how much I would lose in a month. Thanks!

    weight loss (or gain) isn't just about the calories you take in ... it's also about how many calories you burn ... if you eat 800 calories in a day, but just lie in bed and only burn 750 that day, you'd actually gain weight ... it's the balance between the two that determines how much and how fast you'll lose it ... and what you're describing is more of a starvation diet, which is unhealthy in the long run ... you're actually better off eating a little more so your body gets the protein and everything else that it needs, and then exercising more to burn off the fat

That is what they make us do if we get too over weight. Oh and Detox. Take a laxative. That will help you lose weight. Just make sure to drink enough water so it doesn't cause you to dehydrate.

The very fastest way to lose weight, even faster than not eating at all, is a 1200 calories/day diet consisting of 90%/10% fat/protein calories. Absolutely no carbs. This would be like a super Atkins diet. Very fatty meat, eggs, cheese, mayo, etc. are the kinds of foods you would eat. Hunger should not be much of a problem with a high fat diet.

Well each pound of fat is 3500 calories. So in order to solve the equation you need to know how many calories your body is burning. Assuming you are burning 2200 calories per day, your net loss will be 2200-800 = 1400 So you will lose roughly 1 pound every 2.5 days. However I don't think your body can function on 800 calories, so you will begin to tax your organs starting with your kidneys and liver.
