What is a stroke?

i think my grandpa had a mini stroke yesterday what are some signs of a mini stroke and do you think my grandpa had one? look at description

• so yesterday i was at my grandpa's house watching football with him when he screamed as loud as he could and got all white (like ghost white) his eyes looked kinda weird and he was sitting down when it happened and he didnt get up and scream, he really didnt move, besides his arms. After the stroke thing he sat up and asked who was in the house with us i said just us he then looked around the room and said oh. After that i started asking him questions like what the year it was and the day i also asked him if he had remembered buying a house in Texas he replied what city i told him the city and he said oh wheres that? i said in texas he said oh (every five minutes for about 45 minutes he asked the same question) after that i got so annoyed and got a map and showed him... then he stoped asking. Today he was fine he remembers having the thing but dosent know why he screamed and he dosent remember not remembering things plus he is walking funny and his lip looks funny. my grandpa is a alcoholic but he had not been drinking in a while the last drink he had was 4 days before the stroke he hadnt had a drink in 3 months before that but then my grandmother went out of town and he started again... i got him to stop and 4 days later he had the mini stroke thing. He is 73 and i am thinking of going to the doctor and make them give him an MRI! im 18 and i need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
