I have Direct TV and want a DVR to record to a disc. Do I need a DVR with a tuner (over $200) or can I use a DVR without tuner ($100)?

Answer:
If you want to record to DVD from your DVR, run a cord from the DVR to a DVD recorder. Kinda works the same way as a VCR. You should be able to find one pretty cheap now (DVD recorder). I'm sure there are other ways to do it, but that's my setup.
