How to make my monitor brighter?

how do i make the screen brighter on my vista laptop? i just had it reformated and i cant find how to adjust the monitor brightness

  • Answer:

Go to Control Panel Double click Power Options On the left hand side is Adjust the Display Brightness -> click that Click and slide the thingy to the right (I don't know the term for the 'thingy' but it's the only thing that slides) The brightness on my laptop is affected by my Power Plan option. High performance is the brightest but I keep mine at Balanced.

Press F1 for help and type "brightness" into the search line. It will give you instructions to change brightness and contrast for your monitor. Be sure you do not have a browser opened.

You have to go on START , then choose Control Panel, look for the "Ease of Access" icon, then click on "make the computer easier to see", then click on "Turn on or off high contrast". Good luck.
