Does playing musical instruments improve language learning ability?
-
I've heard people say this before and wonder if it's true. I play four instruments, (saxophone, trumpet, oboe and drums) and love learning new languages. Is it possible that my musical ability may help me with learning languages? Also, if this is true, could playing more than one instrument improve language skills further? Thanks! :)

Answer:
It may help you connect more to the culture if you play the country's instrument. So in some ways, yes, it would help you. Understanding may increase your skill of speaking/understanding the language.
