Christians say that earth was created perfect, how can it be perfect if there is a forbidden tree and a snake that tempts you too eat it?
-
I'm just ignoring earth sciences and archeology that contradict genesis, so the whole story falls too pieces with our new understanding of the world anyway.

Answer:
Christians say a lot of silly things! The problem is when their silly beliefs impact on the real world and it's people.

Perfection is a relative term. Maybe a perfect world includes a forbidden tree and a snake that tempts you to eat from it?

There was not forbidden tree or a snake it was the God's commandment to test the human being conscience.

He also made the "perfect" earth with people so hideously flawed that he had to kill all of them except for one family and start over. Please, it's a creation myth invented by people who really weren't very clever about things, and it still plays to a captive audience today that fits the exact same description.

How can earth be created perfect, when it is constantly changing. Perfection indicates an end to create. Perfection indicates no more is to be done. The earth is constantly changing so it is still creating itself to perfection. In this universe there are no absolutes, so perfection is impossible. The universe is still changing, you are still changing. Perfection hasn't been reached. If something has be reached it ceases to exist. When something has no attention to it it ceases to be. A law of the universe. It's a fact. The reason it continues is in order for anything to exist there must be a lie in it. My question to you is what is the lie.

There is no human freedom without temptation.

Hmmm... a planet without a forbidden tree and a tempting snake isn't a planet I would want to live on. That would be imperfect.

The only way to test a person's heart is to give them a choice. If man was not made self-aware and given the choice to follow or disobey God, one could easily argue that God was being unfair and controlling.

You have confused the word Christian with religion, use the proper terminolgy and we can avoid misunderstandings.
