If I have Verizon and I blocked someone will they know I blocked them when they try texting me?

I blocked someone and I think they tried texting me. The text came up and "expired or unavailable" or something. I want to know if they get some sort of message saying I blocked them or they will find out.

NO IT WILL JUST SAY THAT THE RECIPIENT THEY ARE TEXTING IS CUREENTLY NOT EXCEPTING SMS TEXT
