Whats the difference between a friend and a girlfriend? if your a lesbian?
-
Is it just sex? Or attraction? Or the butterfly feeling? Or depends on the relationship you have with your friends? Or what? What is it? Because personally, the majority of guys ive been with i haven't actually really been attracted to them the attraction grew slowly during the relationship when i got to know them rather than any sort of physical attraction. And the one guy i loved, was my boyfriend and my best-friend all in one, and other than the fact we had sex i can't see any difference between a friend and more than that. (context: i think i like a female friend of mine, but im not sure)

Answer:
Well you can be sexually attracted to someone who is just a friend of yours. I'm sexually attracted to plenty of my friends who are girls. They may or may not know it from the way I behave around them (I may blush/unintentionally flirt/try to impress them or make them laugh). But none are my 'girlfriend' (I'm single). A 'girlfriend' is a title reserved for someone with whom a relationship commitment has been made. For instance, if you had a girlfriend (depending on how strict yours/her rules of relationships are), it is normally improper to flirt/kiss/have sex with another person. On another note, a person isn't necessarily sexually attracted to a girlfriend. Other reasons for having a girlfriend may include wanting a companion and wanting the status of having a girlfriend regardless of attraction. Typically and ideally, however, two people will be in a relationship because there is a physical/sexual attraction to one another. Now, you can think someone is attractive without being attracted to them. Sounds odd at first, but I will explain. I think Johnny Depp is attractive but I'm not attracted to him. By this, I mean that I recognize his looks as aesthetically appealing, but I do not get butterflies or fantasize about making out/having sex with him. Now on the other hand, someone like Kristen Stewart, I find BOTH attractive and I am attracted to her. So I recognize her looks as aesthetically appealing and get butterflies and fantasize about making out/having sex with her. I hoped I helped with the difference. It's basically that a girlfriend is the title of the person you are in a relationship with that includes usually kissing/sex (depending on age), going on dates, not being able to flirt/kiss/ sex with other people. Good luck :)

When you're attracted to someone, you should feel it all around. It's hard to describe because there are may different levels of it. When I met my first serious girlfriend I didn't think much of it. When I got to know her though I noticed how much I loved spending time with her and thought about her when we weren't together.
