Where can I get "real" information on an Internet message board about antiques?

I've registered with several antique-related message boards hoping to get information on the may collectibles I've inherited, All I ever seem to get, if anyone even bothers to respond, is usually a link to an Ebay item. Jeepers, I can look at Ebay myself. What I want is a second "professional" opinion.

One thing to find them is posting the item and for sale. In many cases you will find sites selling items like you have and go from there. I used the info a Herritage auction site for coins and such. it is on the net as http://www.ha.com There are archive sales of items to search. If you are looking to seel them the auction will give you a value. Just sent picture and some info. I do not work for or with them, I have sold a few baseball cards through them. Worked well.
