How do you know if he wants to be more than just friends?

How do I know if he likes me or if he just wants to be friends?

  • We just started hanging out again (sophomores in highschool) over break and we saw each other twice. but it was low key we went skiing and then for a bike ride and i can't tell if he likes me or if he just wants someone to hang out with. he is pretty shy so would he ever tell me or show signs that he likes me if he did? help i'm confused.
