The initial radius from center of pin to center of "mechanism" is 15cm in and the mechanism is traveling with an angular velocity of 30 cm/s. How long will it take for radius to half? Assume the string never overlaps while spinning around the pin. The string has negligible thickness.

30cm/s is not an angular velocity, and the fact that it isn't makes this one a bit harder than usual. Assuming the 30cm/s is the is the initial speed and the angular velocity stays the same at all times it's easy as π (*hint, hint*).
