Does deep sleep cause problems?

I cry myself to sleep, a few times a week - are these panic attacks? i also have hormone problems - could panic attacks be the cause?

  • I've had several hormone problems - very painful periods, my eyebrow hair fell out (see my previous questions) and a hormone rush (see my questions again). Could this be linked to my crying? I don't think I'm depressed; I'm fine most of the time, although I do tend to get more stressed over little things than normal people. I've never self-harmed, although I do wonder what death would feel like, but I've never intended to commit suicide. When I cry, I have a stabbing or hollow feeling in my chest or stomach (it varies). It's very painful and tiring. I sometimes hyperventilate a bit but have control over myself soon, although once, I was hyperventilating for about an hour and had no control over my breathing. I also get goosebumps. Are my crying fits panic attacks? (I recognised many of the symptoms from http://www.npadnews.com/anxiety-symptoms.asp#chestpain). Might this be linked to my hormone issues?

  • Answer:

This is your hormones, you have severe hormonal symptoms which only medication is going to settle. You need to see your doctor to get your hormones stabilised asap

You need to see a doctor asap to have your thyroid function tested. Eyebrow loss is a common indicator that you have hypothyroid issues going on. It can also account for all your other symptoms as well. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001393/ Get help and you will be amazed at how much better you can feel with thyroid medication.

What are your living coditions. Do you have a husband, a live in, a S/O? You are describing symptons, which is fine. Because that's what hurts. But are you willing to talk about how the symptoms might have come about>? Please feel free to AB e-mail if you don't want to put it on the street. Good Luck

Probably not a panic attack. A panic attack is a short period with a sudden onset of intense apprehension, fearfulness, terror, often with feelings of impending doom. There are some symptom similarities, but chest pain and hyperventilation are fairly common symptoms. Panic attacks also don't happen very often, only occurring during periods of high stress. I would say it's more closely connected to your hormones or another problem. I've had a panic attack. My psychological symptoms were more severe/worrisome than my physiological symptoms. In your case it seems to be the opposite.
