I have a monitor that says d-sub. I want to plug my hdmi from the ps3 to play on the monitor. What cables will I need? Does DVI-D fit in it?

Answer:
You're out of luck. As far as I know, there is no existing product to convert from DVI-D or HDMI to the VGA port on the monitor. The problem is that DVI-D and HDMI are both digital interfaces, and the monitor is analog. You would need something that takes the digital output and renders it as a series of images internally, and then scans those images to produce the RGB channels needed by the analog interface -- in other words, you would need a high-speed image processing computer with a bunch of horsepower. An expensive and complex device, not a simple mechanical/electrical adapter. Get a different monitor.
